SuperPlastic Forming by infra-red lamps

Aurock performed first forming SPF by infrared lamps with success in September 2016 on TA6V sheet. It happened 1h30min when the press is cold and when the part is unloaded from the kiln. This technology promises many gains over conventional SuperPlastic Forming in terms of cycle times, tools costs, production flexibility, press simplification.
