Aurock has developped special skills about ceramics materials and their specific behavior. For example, for brittle and damageable materials such as ceramics, the modelling takes into account scale effects and damage and probabilistic effects (Weibull law). This allows to assess the admissible strain for big structures or industrial parts. For refractory materials, phenomenon as creep at high temperature can be integrated to the numerical modelling.
Therefore, Aurock can work on the numerical simulation of forming processes of ceramic materials.
Powder compaction example:
Aurock has tools to simulate the compaction of powder products for the ceramic and pharmaceutical industries. This allows to anticipate density inhomogeneities and internal stresses in the raw obtained by compaction.
